Thanks to everyone who attended 2022 summit. What a great day, we have laid the foundations for an Aoteroa podcasting community.

The NZ Podcasting Summit provides a wharenui for Aoteroa’s podcast producers, presenters, practitioners, and providers.

This is an annual day-long event focusing on collaboration, education, sharing, and networking.

The inaugural NZ Podcasting Summit took place on Saturday May 14 2022.

The day included 15+ panellists and speakers over seven themed sessions.

In turn, podcasting is an increasingly desirable medium for advertisers, and according to research from the International Advertising Bureau (IAB), podcast advertising grew 19% in 2021, with the market projected to surpass $2 billion by 2023...but what does this ultimately mean for podcasters? This session will explore the numbers behind the New Zealand podcast market and how hosts, networks and shows can ensure that they take advantage of this uptick in advertiser interest."

The NZ Podcasting Summit aims to foster greater connection & collaboration among New Zealand podcast producers.

This summit also aims to foster connection & collaboration with producer affiliates, including media agencies & outlets, commentators & educators, commissioning organisations, production facilities, and technology providers.

Though the inaugural summit is capped at 100 attendees & a single programme, the plan & vision is that the event & community grows year-on-year.
